What is Giclée Fine Art Printing?

The term ‘Giclée’ is derived from the French word, ‘gicler’, which literally translates as ‘to squirt’ or ‘spray’ (inspired by the way that the printer nozzle applies the ink pigments to the paper). The term ‘Giclée’ was coined to describe inkjet printing in the early nineties and has remained a description for inkjet printing ever since. The term ‘Giclée Prints’ or ‘pigment prints’ (as they are also known) denote a print made from a digital file directly to paper using an inkjet printer as an output device. Whilst the term is broad, it has come to be associated with prints produced to fine art papers.

These Giclée prints are archival grade, exceptional quality and offer intense colour and vibrancy.
